The conductivity transmitter Type HI 8936 has been redesigned and now uses a four-ring potentiometric probe. This probe is virtually immune to contamination by unclean solutions. In addition, the integrated temperature sensor compensates the transmitter on the probe temperature-dependent effects. The probe is connected via a positive electrical connection to signal losses to avoid long lines. All this increases the power of the transmitter which significantly represent the HI 8936 devices in any position until a classic piece.

The HI 904 excels at determining water content in extremely small concentrations (1 ppm to 5%) and requires no titrant, instead using a generator electrode.
